Zoo Trip

This past weekend Ollie went to the zoo. He enjoyed it more this time around. The Meerkat's where his favorite because they were the most active. He just stared at them as they ran around, dug and played with each other. The Sea Lions and monkeys were fairly active, but not as much as the meerkats. Anything that moved seemed to keep his attention. The lazy animals were of no interest. He did watch the lions laze around for awhile. They would move there head enough to keep his attention. The camels were up against the fence, Ollie got a good look at them. He also got a good look at one of them pooping!

Ollie loves to feed our cats by hand, since they are afraid of him, they don't eat out of his hand. This wasn't the case for the llamas and the goats. Ollie got plenty of llama slurps and goat saliva to last him quite awhile. He wasn't afraid of them like he was last time. They ate right out of his hand and he thought it was funny. I guess a llama tongue all over your hand is funny, in a gross way.

After the zoo we went over to the swings. After 20 minutes and 3 different swings we had to pry Ollie off of them. He would probably live on a swing if we let him. After the zoo we headed home and made spaghetti for dinner. Ollie loves it, but has a hard time getting the noodles to stay in his mouth. He gets a handful, shoves it in and is lucky if half of it stays in his mouth. The rest ends up on his clothes or on the tray. Sometimes he'll slurp a noodle to eat it. He can never seem to get enough spaghetti. The meatballs and bread, he could do without. I'm just glad he likes almost everything he eats. Hopefully he won't be too picky of an eater later on in life.
